Weldwork has an immediate opening for a skilled and dependable glass glazier. This position requires experience in handling, cutting and maintaining glass for residential and commercial custom metal door purposes.
The successful candidate is a person who appreciates seeing how their efforts contribute to the overall success of the project team and organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Highly organized with a good sense of attention to detail.
- Fabrication and installation of all metal door components
- Installation of glass and other glazing materials
- Ability to use miter saw, nail guns, drill and various hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints to identify components necessary for the position
- Maintain cleanliness and order in work area
- Maintain punctuality, work independently with a high degree of attention to detail
- Maintain customer deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry 50 - 100 pounds
Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- 1+ years of recent experience
- Demonstrated ability as a self-starter
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and protocols
- Team oriented work ethic
- Willing to work overtime, including occasional weekends as deemed necessary, to meet project deadlines
- Willing to learn new skills and attend paid training deemed necessary to do the job
